Pharmacy is a profession that links the health sciences with the chemical sciences and it is charged with ensuring the safe and effective use of pharmaceutical drug. Rajasthan is also on its its way to impart quality education in this field. Rajasthan being the largest state of the nation has great responsibilities towards contributing to the nation's pharmaceutical development. Rajasthan also has many Universities which offer higher education in the field of Pharmacy. There are many Pharmacy colleges like the Gyan Vihar School of Pharmacy,Jaipur College of Pharmacy, Lal Bahadur Shastri College of Pharmacy, Bhupal Noble's College of Pharmacy and many more. The number is increasing day by day to meet the need of the students.
Most of the Pharmacy colleges of Rajasthan are afflilated to the Rajasthan University of Health Sciences (RUHS), Jaipur, The various courses such as B.Pharmacy, M.Pharmacy,D.Pharmacy offered by the Universities of Rajasthan are approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) New Delhi and Pharmacy Council of India (PCI), New Delhi. The establishment of many new beauty products plants and pharmaceutical companies in various cities of the state is the center of attraction for the students in choosing Pharmacy as a career.
