Vellore Institute of Technology Engineering Entrance Examination (VITEEE), is an exclusive entrance examination for all B.Tech. programmes is conducted for all those aspiring for a career in engineering. Qualification and Eligiblity

Education

Candidates appearing for the VITEEE-2015 should have either completed or shall be appearing in 2015, in any one of the following qualifying examinations:

  • The final examination of the 10+2 system of Higher Secondary Examination conducted by the State Board, Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE, New Delhi), The Council for Indian School Certificate Examination (ISCE, New Delhi).
  • Intermediate or Two-year Pre-University Examination conducted by a recognized Board/ University.
  • High School Certificate Examination of the Cambridge University or International Baccalaureate Diploma of the International Baccalaureate Office, Geneva.
  • General Certificate Education (GCE) examination (London/ Cambridge/Srilanka) at the Advanced (A) level Exam Pattern

Age– Candidates whose date of birth falls on or after 1st July 1993 are eligible to apply for VITEEE-2015. The date of birth as recorded in the High School / SSC / X Certificate will be considered authentic. Candidates should produce this certificate in original as a proof of their age at the time of counselling, failing which they will be disqualified.

Important Dates

  • VIT Engineering Entrance Examination will be conducted from 08.04.2015 to 19.04.2015
  • Please refer to slot booking for further details in www.vit.ac.in from March – 2015 onwards.
  • The last date for the receipt of completed application forms at VIT is February 27, 2015.
  • Declaration of Results (Tentative) – Thursday, April 30, 2015

Exam Pattern

All the questions will be mostly from the State Board of Higher Secondary Education and the CBSE syllabus only. All Questions will be of OBJECTIVE TYPE. Candidates attempting Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics are eligible for all the 15 programmes offered. The duration of the entrance examination will be of 2 hours 30 minutes.

  • PART-I – Physics
  • PART-II – Chemistry
  • PART-III – Mathematics / Biology

Each part has 40 questions and each question carries one markThe questions appearing on the screen will be in English. All questions will be of the Multiple Choice Question (MCQ) type. Each MCQ consists of a stem which may be in the form of a question or an incomplete statement and four responses labeled A, B, C and D. Only one of the four responses is the correct answer. Candidate needs to choose that answer. Candidates can navigate freely through the questions back and forth

How To Apply

1- Issue of Application Forms – Online

Candidates can also apply online at www.vit.ac.in through the following mode :

(i) Net banking /Credit card/Debit card
(ii) DD mode (online applicants need to pay ` 940/- only).

The online applicants applying through DD mode should send the hardcopy of the application form to the University addressed to the Director – UG Admissions”, VIT University, Vellore-632014

2- Issue of Application Forms – OMR

The Prospectus and the information brochure for the B.Tech. programme, along with the necessary enclosures which include the Application Form and a printed self addressed envelope, can be obtained against cash payment of RS` 990/- from the various post offices as given in the VIT website: www.vit.ac.in.

3- Candidates can also obtain the application form through post by sending a Demand Draft for `990 /-drawn in favour of ‘VIT University’, payable at Vellore, with a covering letter addressed to “Director – UG Admissions”, VIT University, Vellore-632014, requesting for the application form and indicating their complete postal address. On receipt of the DD, the application form with the enclosures will be sent by post. The postal charges will be borne by the Institute. Candidate should write his/her name, Mobile Number and address on the reverse of the DD.

***Your application should be sent either by Registered Post or Speed Post in the self-addressed envelope provided by VIT so as to reach the office positively on or before February 27, 2015. Before despatching the application form ensure that you have filled in the correct Test City Code and tick the checklist on the envelope provided.
