Saint Margaret Engineering College (SMEC) is a private engineering college located at RIICO Institutional Area, Neemrana on Jaipur highway in Alwar (Rajasthan). The college is affiliated to the Rajasthan Technical University, Kota, Rajasthan and approved by All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi. SMEC was established in the year 2002 by Saint Margaret Education Society.

SMEC offers undergraduate and Postgraduate courses of study in engineering. The four year undergraduate programme leads to the degree of Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) and two year postgraduate programme leads to the degree of Master of Technology(M.Tech). The courses offered are:

For B.Tech - For B.Tech - The minimum academic qualification for admission to B. Tech./B.E. program in Rajasthan is a pass with at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of candidates belonging to "SC/ST/OBC (Non creamy layer)/SBC (Non Creamy layer)" of Rajasthan state) in the subjects combination as given below taken together, in the final examination of 10+2 (Phy., Chem., Maths) of Board of Secondary Education, Rajasthan or any other examination recognized equivalent thereto by Board of Secondary Education, Rajasthan / Central Board of secondary Education (CBSE). The admissions will be made strictly as per RTU guidelines.
For Lateral Entry(B.Tech.-II yr) - Ten percent of the sanctioned intake in each discipline of I year B.Tech. is reserved for admission in II year B.Tech. for Diploma in Engineering (in concerned branch) and B.Sc. with Maths (as a subject) with minimum 45% for General and 40% for ST/SC/OBC. The Centralized Admission Coordination will fill up these seats through counseling, after inviting applications from the eligible candidates through LEEP (Lateral Entry in Engineering & Pharmacy).
For M.Tech - Admissions to the M. Tech course are done directly on the basis of merit. Whereas eligibility is B.E. / B.Tech. with 55% marks and 50% marks in case of SC/ST candidates, GATE qualified candidate are preferred.
