Late Rawal Karan Singh of Jobner, inspired by Swami Dayanand Saraswati established Anglo-Vedic High School in the year 1893. Later his son Rawal Narendra Singh upgraded the school to Shri Karan Narendra College of Agriculture or simply SKN College of Agriculture in July 1947. This is the first agricultural college of the Rajasthan and the campus college of Rajasthan Agricultural University, Bikaner.
SKN college of Agriculture is recognized by UGC, Govt of India. At present SKN has 15 departments and offers under graduate and post graduate courses in total 9 subjects and Ph.D in 7 subjects.
