Shankara Institute of Technology (SIT) is located at RIICO Industrial Area, Kukas in Jaipur (Rajasthan). Shankara Institute of Technology is promoted by S.K. Chaudhary Educational Trust and was established in 2001-02. The Institution is affilated to the Rajasthan Technical University, Kota, Rajasthan. It is approved by the All-India Council for Technical Education, (AICTE) Ministry of Human Resources Development, Government of India.
SIT takes off with a commitment to promote quality education, creativity and research producing, thereby a student group which can face the challenges of a big way. SIT has today more than 4000 students with almost all important branches of engineering subject, in addition to Post Graduate Courses of MCA & MBA.
Admission to the following courses are open in June – July of every year.
Bachelor of Technology(B.Tech)
Master of Business Administration(MBA)
Master of Computer Application(MCA)
For B.Tech - Minimum eligibility for admission in B.Tech Courses is 10+2 passed with at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of candidate belonging to reservation category of Rajasthan state) in the subject combination of Physics & Maths as compulsory subject along with one of the Chemistry / Computer Science / Biology / Biotechnology from any recognized board.
For Lateral Entry(B.Tech.-II yr) - Ten percent of the sanctioned intake in each discipline of I year B.Tech. is reserved for admission in II year B.Tech. for Diploma in Engineering (in concerned branch) and B.Sc. with Maths (as a subject) with minimum 45% for General and 40% for ST/SC/OBC. The Centralized Admission Coordination will fill up these seats through counseling, after inviting applications from the eligible candidates through LEEP (Lateral Entry in Engineering & Pharmacy).
For M.B.A. - Admissions to the MBA course is done through counselling done on the basis of rank scored in Common Management Aptitude Test (CMAT) which is conducted annually by AICTE. Candidate should have Recognized Bachelor's Degree of minimum 3 Yrs duration & Obtained at least 50% Marks (45% in case of candidate belonging to reserved category) at the qualifying Examination.
For M.C.A. - Admissions to the MCA course is done through counseling done on the basis of rank scored in Rajasthan MCA Admission Test (RMCAAT) which is conducted annually. Candidate should graduate from any recognized University with at least 50% marks (45 % for SC/ST/OBC) with Mathematics either in graduation or in 10+2.
