Sardar Patel Medical College in Bikaner

Sardar Patel Medical College is in the Bikaner district of Rajasthan and is affilated to Rajasthan University Of Health Sciences,Jaipur and Medical Council of India(MCI). Shri Mohan Lal Sukhadia, the Chief Minister of Rajasthan laid down the foundation stone of this Medical College on 5th Feb. 1959. Later on Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru laid a corner stone on 1st April 1959. Dr. S. C. Mehta was the first Principal of the second medical college in the state of Rajasthan. The first batch was only just of 45 students

The name of this Medical college has an interesting story. Initially, it was Bikaner Medical College as the people of Bikaner had offered a handsome sum to be donated.In 50 years of its existence, Sardar Patel Medical College Bikaner has given some of the best doctors to the nation. The medical college is associated with numerous hospitals, to provide updated knowledge in the field. The college offers education in the field of medical science, at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.

  Eligibility:

  Undergraduate:
  The applicant should have passed intermediate examination or equivalent examination, from any recognized board, with physics, chemistry, biology and English as main subject. Or, the candidate should have passed 1st year Sc. Examination conducted by university of Rajasthan.The selection is based on the merit list prepared on the score of the candidate in RPMT (Pre-Medical Test) conducted by university and also CPMT.

  Post Graduate:
  The aspirant should have passed MBBS examination from a recognized college or university. In addition, one year of internship should also be completed.The selection of the candidate is based on his/her performance in the Competitive Entrance Examination.
