National Institute of Mental Health and Neuro Sciences, Bangalore, is a medical college in the Indian state of Karnataka, established in 1954. National Institute of Mental Health and Neuro Sciences offers Medical course in Bachelor’s, Master’s and Doctoral in the field of MBBS, DM, M.Phil, and M.Ch. Admission to MBBS candidate must have Medical / Dental / Ayurveda / Homoeopathy / Unani / Naturopathy / Yoga courses, have passed Karnataka 2nd PUC / 12th std. or equivalent exam with Physics, Chemistry & Biology as optional subjects with English as one of the languages of study and obtained at least 50% marks in the PCB group. 40% in the case of SC / ST / Category-1 candidates provided that for Dental course, the candidate must have secured 50% marks in the optional subjects including English subject, admission will be made through Common Entrance Exam (CET) or COMED-K. For M.Phil Candidate shall have an LL.M. Degree from recognized University securing ‘B+’ grade or an aggregate of 55% marks or its equivalent. There shall be a written test which will be on par with UGC NET / JRF exams. For DM/M.Ch candidates must hold the MD/MS degree with minimum 50% marks on from a recognized Medical College affiliated to any university recognized, admission will be done through PGET Exam. For PhD candidates must have Master Degree with minimum 50% marks. Admission will be done through as per University Norms.
