Manikya Lal Verma Govt.Textile & Engineering College was established in the year 1988. Previously it was a Polytechnic college as the joint venture of the government of Rajasthan and the Bhilwara group of industries, popularly known as the LNJ Bhilwara group. It started with the first Textile Technology branch in Rajasthan with an intake of 30 students per year through RPET. It is affiliated to the Rajasthan Technical University, Kota and is approved by AICTE, New Delhi. MLVTEC is managed by Manikya Lal Verma Textile Institute society in Bhilwara, Rajasthan
MLVTEC is located at the heart of the textile city, Bhilwara and is engaged in carrying out original research of significance and technology development at the cutting edge. It also imparts special training to its students so that they become competent and motivated engineers. The College has student strength of about 6000 along with 100 faculty members and 60 non-teaching staff members.

Eligibility: 10+2 with minimum 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Aggregate

There are separete Hostels for Boys and Girls students with capacity of 70 students. In Hostel there are facilities like Common Room, Drinking Water, Mess, Gym & Fitness Center , Internet facility etc.
