Maulana Azad Medical College, Delhi, established in 1958, is a government medical College in Delhi affiliated to University of Delhi and is spread over a campus in 122 acres. Maulana Azad Medical College offers the degrees of MBBS (medical school degree, equivalent to Doctor of Medicine or MD in some countries), post graduate/residency degrees of MS, MD and superspeciality/subspecialty fellowship degrees of MCh and DM. It has attached schools offering degrees in nursing and pharmacy. Admission to MBBS is four and a half year followed by internship of one year. Students passed Intermediate Science/Pre-Medical Course/12 year of 10+2 or equivalent examination with a minimum of 50% marks (40% in case of SC/ST candidates) in English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology taken together. Candidates appearing in the qualifying examination may also apply. For MD and MS candidates who have passed MBBS course recognized by the Medical Council of India and completed one year internship training are eligible to appear in the entrance examination, those candidates who have already done or doing MD/MS course are not eligible for Exam.
