Mahatma Gandhi Engineering College (MGEC) is located at Shivdaspura on Tonk Road in Jaipur (Rajasthan). MGEC was established in the year 2008 under the aegis of Shri Laxmi Narayan Charitable Society. The institute is affiliated to Rajasthan Technical University, Kota and recognized by AICTE, New Delhi. MGEC has a vision to provide a cost effective base for pursuing comprehensive education program to develop engineering knowledge and skills along with the essential ingredients of entrepreneurial attitude and orientations.
The focus of the institution has been on imparting the quality education of the highest standards to the students and to provide top- class infrastructure so as to enable and prepare the students to meet the challenges of the present day highly competitive world.

For Diploma - The admission to college is through counselling by the Board of Technical Education Rajasthan and Five percent of total seats are filled as per the guidelines of BTER, DTE under the management quota. If all seats are not filled then after after counseling college can take direct admissions. Student Should passed Class 10th from any Secondary Board of Education established by Government of India/State Board and for direct admission in second year to ITI pass students in relevant branch or students who have passed XII class or equivalent with PCM.
For B.Tech - Admissions to the B. Tech courses is done through counseling done on the basis of rank scored in JEE (Mains) which is conducted annually by Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi and candidate should have passed with 45% Marks in PCM and (40% Marks in PCM for SC/ST) in the final examination of 10+2 (Class XII) or any other examination recognized / equivalent to board. Subject combination required in the qualifying examination for admission in B.Tech. course shall be as under: Maths & Physics as compulsory subjects and any one of the Chemistry, Bio-Technology, Computer Science and Biology as optional subject.
For M.Tech - Admissions to the M. Tech course are done directly on the basis of merit. GATE qualified candidate are preferred. As per AICTE norms. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in the relevant field. Candidate should obtained at least 50% (45% in case of candidate belonging to reserved category) at the qualifying Examination.
