Institute of Hotel Management (IHM), Mumbai, the first of its kind in South East Asia was founded in the year 1954 by the All India Women’s Central Food Council under the leadership of Late Smt. Lilavati Munshi. The Institute of Hotel Management, Mumbai offers "Bachelor of Science in Hospitality and Hotel Administration". The institute also offers "Craftsmanship Course" in "Food Production & Patisserie" and "Food & Beverage Service". Apart from this institute also offer "Certificate course in Cookery and Bartending". Admission to B.Sc-HM Minimum qualification required is 10+2 or equivalent. Entrance exam held by the university. For other Diploma, course candidates must have S.S.C (10th class of 10+2 patterns) pass with 50% marks or equivalent qualification with English as one of the subjects from a recognized University.
