College of Dairy & Food Science Technology Started its journey in the year 1978 in Rajasthan College of Agriculture under University of Udaipur. Later on in 1982 it established itself as a separate college and brought some changes in its academic programmes. In 1999-2000 the University received financial assistance from the World Bank and a part of the grant was earmarked for developing infrastructure and purchase of processing machineries for this college and renamed the College was named as College of Dairy & Food Science Technology.CDFST is a government College, Affilated to Maharana Pratap University of Agriculture, Udaipur and Technology and is approved by AICTE, New Delhi .
CDFST has five departments namely, Department of Dairy and Food Technology, Dairy and Food Management and Economics, Department of Dairy & Food Engineering, Chemistry and Microbiology.
Eligibility: Senior Secondary(10+2) with Science-Maths/Biology/Agricultural/Home Science with atleast 50%. 5% relaxation in minimum marks obtain in Senior secondary for SC,ST,OBC and SBC. Candidate should not exceed the age of 25 years. Mathematics is the compulsary subject for students seeking admission in Dairy Technology and Food Technology Subjects.

Accomodation:The College of Dairy & Food Science Technology has its own hostel of fourteen double seated rooms to accommodate 24 students. The remaining students are residing in rented rooms close to new campus. The rooms are allotted depending upon their availability and as per norms. A new hostel is being constructed.
