M. S. Ramaiah Institute of Technology (MSRIT), Bangalore, is an autonomous institution affiliated to the Visvesvaraya Technological University. It offers courses approved by the All India Council for Technical Education, AICTE, New Delhi and it is affiliated to the Visveswaraiah Technological University, Belgaum, established in 1962. M. S. Ramaiah Institute of Technology offers undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Engineering, Science, Computer Application and Business Administration and a doctoral course in the field of B.E/B.Tech, M.E/M.Tech, MBA and PhD programs. Admission to B.E/B.Tech candidate should have 50% marks in Common Entrance Test (CET) conducted by Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA). For M.E/M.Tech candidates must have Bachelors degree in the same field with minimum 50% marks, admission will be done through Graduate Aptitude Test for Engineering (GATE). For MCA candidates must have 50% marks in Bachelors Degree, candidates must have Mathematics as subjects in Class XII, admission will be made through PGCET (KEA) Entrance Examination and 50% through KMAT/ PGCET. For MBA candidate should have passed graduate in any discipline from a recognized university. Selection wills b based on Karnataka Management Aptitude Test, Group Discussion and Personal Interview. For PhD Candidate must have passed M.Tech / ME with 60% (50% for SC/ST) marks. Selection will be based on as per the university norms.
