SMS Medical College was established in Jaipur, Rajasthan in the year 1947. This is the oldest college in Rajasthan and one of the premier medical college of India. The college has been conducting its activities with a common objective of imparting healthy medical education & research as well as providing state of art treatment to the needy people of the state.The college has a total of 32 departments and eight hospitals attached to it.

Admission Produre:

There are 150 admissions to MBBS course every year in the college. The candidates are selected through RPMT, CPMT and GOI quota.The admissions are on the basis of merit with constitutional reservations, done by the centralized process by Govt. of Rajasthan.

Students for Postgraduate medical courses shall be selected strictly on the basis of their academic merit.Candidates are eligible for entrance to these courses after completing Internship. The number of seats in each course is decided from time to time.On the basis of merit as determined by the competitive test conducted by the State Government or by the competent authority appointed by the State Government or by the university/group of universities in the same state; or On the basis of merit as determined by a centralized competitive test held at the national level; or Provided that wherever entrance test for Postgraduate admission is held by the State Government.
